A Right Royal Audience on January 28, 2012

On Saturday 28th January 2012, Kat and I had the opportunity to visit the Istana for a royal audience with  DYAM Raja DiHilir Perak in Ipoh and to present DYAM Raja Jaafar with a copy of the biography. Since the Tuanku could not come for the launch on the 15th January, Uncle Selvamany thought it would be a good gesture to seek an appointment and present a copy of the biography to Tuanku in person.

The meeting was very pleasant. DYAM Raja Jaafar flipped through the book and posed several questions to Uncle. Later, we chatted about our school days and the fun time we had in Anderson School Ipoh. For your information, DYAM Raja Jaafar was in Anderson (secondary level) from 1956 to 1961. In 1961, Tuanku was a School Prefect, House Captain of School House and the Captain of the School's Relay Team, 4x100m and 4x400m besides being also involved in the School Cadet Corps Band and was the School Talentime Champion for that year. Looks like a very active student indeed!
