Mr. Chang Chee Teck on "Why Should We Care" .....April 10th, 2011

Our first in a proposed series of health talks was held on Sunday 10th April at the Royal Lake Club. Attendance was rather poor despite several reminders. There were only seven Andersonians and four invited guests. Looks like health prevention always takes a back seat until one is confronted with a health challenge.

Nevertheless, despite the small group, our speaker Mr Chang Chee Teck delivered his talk very passionately by sending a strong message that we must change our lifestyle, eat well, exercise well, learn to de-stress, etc to prevent the onset of major chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disorders and cancers, etc.

Mr Chang, an advanced kidney cancer patient with metastasis to the lungs (there are 47 lesions on both lungs), shared with the group how he has survived about 19 months so far using a nutritional healing system called the Gerson Therapy. When Chang was diagnosed in Sept 2009, doctors did not expect him to survive more than six months with or without conventional medical intervention. However, he is very well today.

If you would like to find out more about the Gerson Therapy, just do an internet search. Alternatively, visit Chang's blogspot.....www.upekah.blogspot.com.......there are a lot of useful articles/information there.

  1. It was a dismal attendance, to say the least! But we are not disheartened; We do hope more will find the time to join us! You know, our Bosses have had a hectic past 2 weeks - making trips to Ipoh re Economics Book prize and preparing for this talk; Now playing hosts to Paul Chong who is in town! Be seeing you more then!
