"Vice-Captain" Leads Paul in Batu Road Shift!

On the evening of Friday 29th April, we decided to take Paul on a night tour of KL.....the green district area as well as the red lights district area (my boss came along also....so no hanky panky business).

We started off with a western meal at the Coliseum Cafe and Hotel in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman (see how Paul dressed up like a baby). After dinner we adjourned to the nearby A&W outlet for some root beer which Paul missed so much...(was he dating Lilian there then?).We strolled along this famous Batu Road (in front only) and Paul was trying to locate famous shops like the Globe Silk Store, Kamdar, GS Gill, etc. Later we took a brief drive through the main areas of KL that Paul could remember......Jalan Ampang, Jalan Pudu, Jalan Campbell, Jalan Kuching, etc.

Of course we stopped by to photograph the night view of the KLCC Twin Towers.

  1. Ah, the Coliseum Restaurant! Loved the food, hated the bibs they always insisted on putting on you (but only if you ordered sizzling steaks). And A&W root beer! Evelyn & I were amongst the first (thousands) to patronize their 1st outlet in PJ. What memories....
